Tokio Marine Europe, the European arm of Japanese property, casualty and marine insurer, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., identified that it should conduct conduct an audit of the data contained within its core operational IT systems, with reference to the areas of Business Operations, Performance, Application Development and Metadata management.
The BDQ Suite was selected as the principle data analysis solution and proved to be a critical element in the audit's success. Through the Suite, TMEI were able to gain a comprehensive understanding of their data and enabling them to secure a long term value from their information assets. Chris Gordge, CIO of TMEI, felt the BDQ Suite had been 'instrumental' in the audit and that "The success of our audit will help us in many different ways, from improving day-to-day operations, to reporting and implementing future management information systems."
